This week finds The Tragically Hip coming to the Pacific Northwest. I will be catching them at The Moore Theatre in Seattle, WA on Wednesday, and then shooting over to see them in Victoria BC at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on Friday and Saturday.
So far this tour, they have been playing 8 new songs from their latest album, We Are The Same, and 25 songs per night in total. I think it's great that the shows are longer in length than any HIP show I can remember. This makes it easier to stomach the new stuff for casual fans who don't really know it or don't like the new stuff, they'll still get 17 classics from their deep catalog.
I'll report on what I see over the next week when I get back from Victoria.
